Simon Shanks “Shanksey” is building himself a big reputation as one of the best golf coaches on Tour – with his players’ performances proving his point.

Simon Shanks is a Golf Teaching Professional with 20 years experience that works on the European Tour as well as his home club at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.

His seamless and effective coaching methods have built confidence in his pupils which so far have amassed wins professionally worldwide. Simon grew up in Wiltshire and has taught at Bowood the past 15 years.

Simon was named in the Golf World Top 100 teachers in 2012 and also been named as the PGA coach of the year in England and Wales (South West) 2013,2017 and 2018.

Simon works with the latest technology and feedback tools such as: Trackman 4, Capto Putting System , Hackmotion Wrist Sensor and CoachNow at his teaching base at the prestigious PGA Bowood Golf & Spa Resort in Wiltshire.

Nick Brennan

PGA Golf Professional

Nick Brennan is a seasoned PGA Golf Professional currently affiliated with The Bristol Golf Club. Nicks’ golfing journey began at Karen Country Club in Kenya, where he developed a deep passion for the sport. Brennan has a degree in Applied Golf Management Studies from the University of Birmingham, which he earned in 2005.

Nicks’ professional career includes notable achievements such as winning the Hills Wiltshire Professionals’ Golf Championship and securing a place in the PGA Cup team by finishing joint fourth in the Glenmuir Club Professionals Championship at Slaley Hall. Nick qualified to represent GB&I in the prestigious PGA Cup and represented England in the International Team Championships.

Nick is recognised for his skills in custom fitting, retail, and coaching, and continues to actively compete in PGA tournaments.

Before joining The Bristol Golf Club, Nick Coached at The Wells Golf Club, The Hambrook Golf Centre in Bristol and Bowood Golf Club, blending his competitive playing with coaching and golf management responsibilities.
